MINUTES OF MEETING – WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 29, 2012 3:30 PM
Wastewater Treatment Plant
Meeting was opened by President Paul Wesner. Also present were Commissioners Francis Crowley and Derrald McDaniel, Pat Swiencicki, Betty Bradley, and Gary Gardner.
The January 2012 meeting minutes and financial report was read. Paul had one correction: It was LW Allen who contacted him to say the FCC forms were filed.
120229-a: Motion to approve the minutes and financial report as read was made by Derrald and seconded by Francis. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Martin Johnson at the Town of Poygan January 19, 2012 board meeting to reappoint Derrald McDaniel as a Sanitary District commissioner.
120229-b: Motion to renew Choice Bank CD for a 12 month period was made by Paul and seconded by Francis. Motion carried.
WPDES Permit Status: Pat read an e-mail received from Gene dated February 27th. The commissioners said Town & Country should go ahead and analyze the phosphorus data and work on a variance with the DNR. They did not feel Gene needed to attend a meeting. Town & Country invoice number 13105 was approved for payment.
Maintenance Items: Two grinder pumps were received. Ken got the water heater working. It was suggested that in the future Ken could contact Cascade Plumbing on County Road D or Greg Peters at C&H Plumbing for any plumbing needs. Ken’s written report said the P.H. meter and D.O. meter have been giving the operators problems and they are outdated. Replacement of the meters was approved. Francis said we can let the propane tanks go for a while yet.
Betty Bradley said she found a piece of property in the service area that does not have an address. It is located between Mildred and Oscar Lanes. There is a 12’ by 20’ building on piers with wood siding, sliding glass door, electrical hook-up and deck right out to the lake. The property was purchased by John Miller on July 21, 1990. Betty asked if this building had a sewer hook-up. Pat said there is no hook-up based on the SD records. Betty said she will turn the information on this property over to Winnebago County.
The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 28th, 2012 at 3:30pm.
120229-c: Motion to pay bills as presented from now until the next meeting was made by Paul and seconded by Francis. Motion carried.
